The 2021 Beadworkers Guild challenge theme was "Bead it, don't bin it".
I used beads that I already had to cover a bird form that I'd removed from a defect kitchen clock and kept aside. The head cover is a hollow cabochon made from a plane control panel, the feet left over from another project (the Fantasy Chess play) and the base is a piece of wood cut from a beam used to increase the height of my MIL's sofa. Each bead is precisely glued in place with the use of all sorts of tools. The Beadworkers Guild Challenge is a "self"-challenge. To challenge myself, I chose to do bead mosaic, an art that I have never practiced before. I found it to be a really fun adventure.
